DescriptionHandwritten letter to Kathleen Garman from Caspar John, Augustus John's son. Letter is evidently written after a funeral service, perhaps after Augustus John's, who died in late 1961. Caspar John writes that he would have like to have met everyone outside the church after the service, but an upset relative had to be taken home straight away. John thanks Kathleen for her note and states that he thought the church too cold. John writes that he used to play with clay from Jacob Epstein's studio to his home. John writes that he and Kathleen should meet.
